Decolonization of Africa

The United Nations Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL) is the Fourth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly. The committee is responsible for addressing a range of international political issues, but particularly those relating to decolonization, peacekeeping, and people's rights in non-self-governing nations. SPECPOL also considers peacebuilding, the effects of atomic radiation, and cooperation in outer space, but one of its most crucial responsibilities is nevertheless guaranteeing self-determination and sovereignty to all nations.
